Edmond Dentist, Michael F. Alspaugh has provided comprehensive gentle dental care for families since 1991 and in his present location since 2000. We have many dedicated patients here in Edmond and many from surrounding areas that feel that traveling for exceptional dental care is worth the trip. Dr. Alspaugh and his staff attend continuing education throughout the year to ensure that you will always have the most current advances in dentistry for your treatment. We use state-of-the-art technology and products. As one of our patients you will be able to see exactly what Dr. Alspaugh sees in your mouth with our intra oral camera and chair side monitor. You will see and understand the options of treatment, your insurance coverage and an estimate of out of pockets costs before any work is done.
Dr. Alspaugh is personally involved in your dental care from the moment you enter his office. His attention to detail starts during your initial cleaning where he fully reviews your oral health with you and explains any potential areas that he sees in need of treatment.
Dr. Alspaugh has lived in Oklahoma most of his entire life having grown up in Tulsa, established his office in Edmond in 2000, and now lives in Oklahoma City. Dr. Alspaugh accomplished his undergraduate education in Edmond, OK, at the University of Central Oklahoma and then completed his dental training at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Alspaugh left Oklahoma for a short time while he spent a post-graduate year at the Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut where he completed his general practice residency.

When he returned to Oklahoma, he worked for a group practice and discovered he wanted to be able to spend more time to better educate his patients about the importance of maintaining a healthy mouth. So he left the group practice. He then worked for the Indian Health Service for six years. During this time he was able to educate and provide limited dental care to those who needed help, but his dream of providing a more patient friendly environment was getting stronger and he wanted to give more to his patients. Finally, he started his own practice in Edmond in 2000. He is now able to provide dental treatment to his standards of care with an emphasis on education, prevention, and delivery of the most conservative painless dentistry by using current technology to assist with his vision.
Outside of dentistry, he is a master cake decorator. Other interests include cycling, sailing, classical guitar, target shooting and swinging an occasional golf club. Dr. Alspaugh is happily married with one daughter, Gabrielle, a son, Michael, and a few pets, two adopted dogs: Evie and Wonder (as in, “I wonder where you came from”) a cat called Trex (he bites) and a fish named Batey.
